Open and caring volunteers team up to make a spiritual family for a neighbor in need. This neighbor could be a widow, a teen transitioning out of the Foster Care system, a woman prisoner transitioning out of prison or any person going through a difficult life change. All of these “neighbors in need” must be tested to meet specific criteria, most importantly being Christian.
Once the family is formed, they meet twice a month (90 minutes per meeting) with the Neighbor in Need for a year. During the meetings we open in prayer, asking the Holy Spirit to be with us during the meeting as we all share what is happening in our lives. This includes the good as well as the bad. We offer support, suggestions and prayer to our fellow family members.
